Southern Style, Local Drive: Lowcountry Golf Apparel Launches this August

Bluffton, S.C. – A new golf apparel brand with deep Southern roots is making its debut in the Lowcountry.

Lowcountry Golf Apparel, founded by Bluffton resident Chad Barrs – a native of Augusta, Georgia – officially launches this summer with a focus on quality, community and the culture of Southern golf. The family-owned company blends traditional Lowcountry style with performance gear designed for golfers playing in any kind of weather.

“I’ve had a passion for golf since I was a kid,” said Chad. “It’s always been part of my life, and this brand is really an extension of that – golf, family and Southern values.”

After moving to Bluffton several years ago, Chad says he was inspired by the local lifestyle and saw an opportunity to create something meaningful and rooted in community.

More than just apparel, Lowcountry Golf Apparel aims to support local youth and college-aged golfers across the region. As the company grows, he aims to sponsor local players and one day see a PGA Tour golfer wearing the brand.

“To see a young athlete from the Lowcountry wearing Lowcountry Golf Apparel on tour- that’s the dream,” he said. “It’s about lifting each other up and growing together.”

With plans to collaborate with universities and junior golf programs, Chad believes the brand will have a lasting impact.

“We’re just getting started,” he said. “But the heart of Lowcountry Golf Apparel will always be the people and the places that shaped it.”

Chad Barrs, Lowcountry Golf Apparel CEO shares his excitement as he gets ready to launch his Lowcountry-based brand.
